Default Found something to do with some Compass Star blocks

I made these blocks some time ago just using odds and ends of fabric stash. No idea what I was going to do with them in the end, just liked the blocks. I was browsing online on the Amish quilt site and POW... saw this Maritime Stars quilt. I figured it up in EQ7 last night, very simple to do but beautiful. I'm not sure how many blocks I have done but it only takes 9 of them. I wouldn't use the one with the green rays in the corner as it wouldn't look right on the field of black background.

That is going to be beautiful! I did a quilt this year with tiny 9 patch cornerstone in the sashing and some crazy person used a directional print fabric too. All I can say is have fun with the 9 patches and striped sashing.....and use fabrics that are NOT directional!
