A beauty of a rescue! Nice that you were able to also use a frame you already had!

Great save, I recently bought 6 little tortoise embroideries which I am adding to for a quilt for one of my grandsons. I love finishing these 'found' items.

Thanks everyone! I really loved the picture that someone lovingly made. It had to take days, maybe months to make. I used to do cross stitch and I know it takes some serious time to make all those stitches in the right order.

The other thing I loved about it was it says that it was made by pat. In my lifetime I have had three really close friends by that name. So, it seemed meant to be, since they are all gone now.

Nice rescue Sandy. I love how you bordered it. Enjoy your new piece.

The original maker would be pleased knowing it ended up in its forever home. A perfect fit.
