    Default Found Stitchery

A few weeks ago, I found this stitchery that someone had made and never framed. It was such a cute piece, I wanted it for my sewing room. I made the setting up by making coordinating log cabin blocks and using the batik as a sashing for the sides to make it fit a gold frame I already had. It was not being used for years!

It was like it was meant for my room the way it went together so easily and well. I think so anyway. The stitchery was two dollars, but all of the sewing stuff was half price that day. A whole dollar for something that would have taken me a very long time to make. It is sad someone didn't get to enjoy it like I will.

Here it is. With a close up of the saying.

Wow! I enjoy doing cross stitch, and you found one that took quite some time to complete. Beautiful and congratulations on your find.

You saved it from languishing in a box, I like how you added a quilted border around the piece. I cross stitch as well - there's at least 30 hours of work in that piece, if not more!
