There is new way of paper piecing now where you don't have to rip all the paper off. You don't actually sew through to the paper. There are courses and tutorials but can't find them right now. That is a beautiful quilt and i LOVE paper piecing!!

Thanks for tweaking the memory banks lin--that was how it was done--fold and sew!!There was something too about using either wax paper or velum so the paper pieces last longer. I think I read somewhere also that there is paper available in the US of course--not yet in Canada eh!!for doing that kind of paper piecing.
We are headed to the US in acouple of days as we are heading east from BC to Ontario so I will look for a Hancocks and check it out.

I hope you find what it is you're looking for so you can come back and let us know what it is! :D I don't remember a special paper to use, but I'd love to know what works best.
For now, I've discovered that the "scribble" paper for kids works well. And it's cheap!!! $1.99 for 50 sheets I think. Anything to make paper piecing easier. :)
