Default Four days of ripping but it's finally done

I started out quilting this tween quilt for our DGD with a small loop de loop in the "wings" of the geese, and got about 4" into the main body and hated it. UGH. Why did I wait so long? I use Bottom Line and the stitches were not only small, but sunk in as I used 80/20 and Minkee on the back. It took me at least 20 hours to remove them with a magnifying glass, ripper and a tweezers. I persisted because I knew I couldn't live with it the way it was. Back to the old meander, which gave me the texture I wanted, just hate doing it, especially around all these pieces.

Well, here it is in all its glory, now done, washed and labeled, along with the three matching pillowcases (She has a twin bunk and a full bottom bed) Now I can rest knowing I did the best I could for our sweet grand daughter!

That quilt is beautiful. So sorry you had to go through all that ripping out but when things like that are important to us we will do what we have to do to get it right. Your granddaughter is going to love that quilt.

It is gorgeous, and well worth taking out the loops you didn't like. The meander really does work beautifully with the rest of the quilting.

The great amount of re-work and frog stitching was so worth every stitch. This quilt is to die for beautiful. I am sure she is going to love it. Thanks for sharing this beauty. Your work will be rewarded.

The finish is beautiful! I know that ripping out quilting is a pain but it’s worth it in the end.

It is beautiful - and so "one of a kind" made "specially for" your granddaughter.

I sure hope she has some idea of the thought and effort you put into it for her.
