I am in a color challenge group at 3creativestudios.com and the colors for February were blues and yellows, using an iris as the color scheme. I made a table runner and did a butterfly with machine embroidery on my standard sewing machine. Please join me in the group. Anyone can submit a photo for the contest, and you can make any kind of craft, such as painting, dolls, etc. It doesn't have to be a quilt. Each month they send a different set of colors to use.

One end of my table runner.

It really isn't this badly wrinkled, but it doesn't matter, because I am going to make a set of these and applique them to a painted quilt. I will cut the white fabric away from the butterfly to use it. This is all done on my regular sewing machine.

Blue and yellow are my favorite color combinations, too. How nice of them to choose them!
