    You are doing great. I think I like the wood grain and the bumpy feathers best.

    I saw a long arm quilter on our local public access channel. She made a booklet, so to speak, of these very similar FMQ patterns. She had quite a few. She used grommets so the fabric wouldn't fray for the rings. She also used heavy cardboard for the outside covers. The made 12" blocks pages. She also used old sheets or fabric she didn't like but the fabric design determined a lot of echoing. She said she could add to it easily because of the rings. Would love to see your finished quilt. The booklet would be a good tool/reference to have on hand.

    Your really very good. Your pictures show your "play" day very well. I wish my practice attempts were this good. I think mine will stay just that for now. (I really don't have the timing figured out yet. lol) I think the idea of turning them into a quilt or something is interesting.
