To each her own! Beautiful quilt, but rug? No way would I step on that beauty, even barefoot. I have too much respect for its beauty and history of long hours of work making it.

What a great idea! It is so pretty, you're daughter has got to be getting praise from all her friends when they see it.

We love our children and use our skills to make beautiful treasures for them. My DD knitted awesome bathroom rugs. Used quality yarn and they're still wonderful. Mom used her wedding quilt for over 20 years. Washed it in a wringer washer and dried it outside on the clothesline. It's tattered now but so much love emanated from it. I felt blessed to lay on it to read while she sewed. I still feel that love when I look at it. It's folded up on a chest in my den.
