    Default French General Quilt

I finished this quilt in memory of my Puma who crossed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. He was with me in my sewing room every time I worked on it for the past month. Very quiet day without him in the room.
Ended up tying it as the batting I bought has a higher loft than the Warm & Natural that I am use to in previous quilts.

What a pretty quilt. I love the fancy double border stitching inside each square. Or is that some type of rickrack?

So sorry about your dear Puma.

i thought I would try out some of the decorative stitches on my Horizon 12000- so that is what you see. Still learning the different stitches and functions.
Thank-you for the compliment and condolences.

    Sorry about your fur baby.
Love your quilt, I like tying them too, just be sure that your ties are not farther apart than the batting recommends. Hate to have it bunch up in the wash!

Thanks for the suggestion about the tying. I will check the batting info.

just realized I did stitch in the ditch all the squares and border seams. Do I need to add more ties?

It's very hard to have our fur children past. It's never easy, but you did him proud and finished. I love that fabric. I keep eyeing it. I guess I better just get it and stash it or I'll be sorry one day I didn't. I too love to see the simplicity of the quilting.

very pretty. I'm sorry about your furbaby Puma. It's so hard on us when we have to say goodbye to our fur ones. Only other furparents can understand the loss feeling. My heart goes out to you. Puma would be very proud of you and your new quilt.
