    Out of the ashes! My goodness, what a wonderful quilt project. It it truly wonderful in every way. A great job well done. I am sure it will be appreciated for many years. As you know, there were reasons the original owner didn't finish it... but you did. A real work of love.

    I am so impressed with what you did. When I look at the beginning block, with its varying seam allowances, and then see the end result of the immense amount of work you did, I can only bow to your diligence and artistic vision. Absolutely impressive.

    If her mother is still with us, I so hope she shows it to her. It will make her day to know that someone finished her quilt.
