I can only hope mine comes out as well as yours. Great job!
That backing green really is great, I actually got that at Wal-Mart. The border and binding fabrics came from the LQS, but I couldn't find enough of a fabric for the backing there that I liked. So I went to WM and found that lime green/chartreous color fabric for the backing and really like it. Lime green is my daughter's favorite color, so of course she approved as well. :)

I agree with redquilter... this is a very happy quilt!!

I have to ask, when you were using the layer cake, did you have any problem with the bias? Looking at your border, it's perfect, unlike mine which came out looking like the sea..(waves)

No problem at all, I was careful not to stretch it too much. The only time I really pulled at it was when I was stitching the columns together and needed to align the points of the two columns with each other. Sometimes they needed a little encouragement to get their points together.

You have a great eye for color combinations! The greens and pinks with the chocolate brown accent are stunning!

I'm going to have to try another one, but this time with a layer cake as you did. I used a jelly roll and it was living up to it's name.. rolling all over the place..
