What a thoughtful gesture! My sister in law has had to go to a memory unit and she is very unhappy about it. We did not let take her favorite quilt as some other resident might like it enough to give it a new home. My niece took a throw to her mother and it disappeared in a week. She walked through the halls and found it on another resident's bed. She took it home with her and used it only on trips to the doctor so her mom could still enjoy it.

A beautiful quilt and the care and thoughtfulness you have put into it will be, I'm sure, much appreciated.

A great idea. Love your quilt. Such soft colors. Is that the name of the pattern (friendship) or is that what you are calling it because of the signatures? I made one similar to that for my brother before he died and didn't know if the pattern had a name or not.

Beautiful layout and certainly will be treasured for a long time! I would take a sample block and use different pens to see which one works best on the quilt top, ie: how well it will wash, and how easy to use, etc.

Your quilt is so pretty, and will be cherished. You will be blessed for your kindness.
