I have made a few of these with some 'so-so' border fabric that I wasn't really impressed with. Just had to try the design. I have searched many shops and sites for what I wanted and had no luck. Most of the border prints were far too dark or extremely bright. I decided to do as many of you have suggested and make my own from some special florals and fall prints in my stash.

Very cool...love all your work, the designs are so pretty and to be quite honest, very artistic. I have some pretty border fabric in my stash that could work with this..I would like to try this technique but will need completely idiot proof instructions.....I just finished writing monthly reports today, so all I'm good for this evening is quilting my utility/art quilt project....chenille needle and thick cotton is about all I can handle just now

I just picked up the pattern and am disappointed with it. not terribly clear. i was going to sew fabrics together anyway but wanted to know how many triangles i needed to make different looks. they are not helpful- to me anyway. So i will go my own way. I could have saved my money. i had the triangle ruler already.

I agree about the vague instructions. I joined a class to make it and the instructor had to correct almost everyone's runner to get them finished. Not sure I will make another, even though they turn out so cute.

    Hi
I've searched & searched but can't find your tute on this pattern. I consider myself an experienced quilter & rarely does a pattern defeat me but I sure couldn't figure this out.
Can you help me? I'd sure be grateful since I was hoping to make these as gifts.

    Thank you so much

    Pat

Ditto!! I also plan to make some of my own 'border' fabric to make my next ones.

The second looks as though it could be an ancient mosaic. Both good work.
