    I too have to say what a wonderful find..... never know what you will find at a garage sale. Looks like fabric from the 50's.

    Awesome!! I agree.. looks 50ish to me also. They did a fair amount of "cotton satin" or "cotton sateen" back then.. it was cotton but with a different finish and very fine weave and a distinct satin shine to it.

    It reminds me of the quilt my Mom and I made when I was 10 from the clothes she had made us. So I agree - the 50's. (It was mid 60's when we made our quilt, but Mom had several years of 'stash' from making all our clothes.
