    Henry, I love your quilt! It looks like it has such a warm, comfortable feel. I bet they were very touched to receive it. What backing did you do? A barbeque, too? What a great son you are!

    What a great quilt! Very colorful! I love scrappy quilts they are so happy looking.
    Your parents look like they are great people! You have alot to be proud of in them as well as they in you!

    Tell them happy anniversary from us here on the board!! 30 years is a great number to hit!! We will celebrate 35 this next January.

    Congrats Henry on such wonderful parents and such a great quilt!

    Thanks everybody. My dad took me aside and told me that it really meant a lot to them seeing as how I made it. He asked me if I had my name on it anywhere and I told him there was a little label on it that said quilted by Henry Parrish Jr on it.

    You can see my progression with my hand quilting on the quilt. The stitches on one half are huge, then go to midsized near the end of the quilt. I am slowly getting better at hand quilting.

    I turned it over so they could see how my stitching progressed and they said it was just more evidence that love was put into the quilt.

    So of course I was beaming by the time they left last night. :)
