George Siciliano class
#1
I had a great time in a workshop this week with George & Virginia Siciliano! The class is on miniatures using foundation piecing. The class is Ascending Logs. If you ever get a chance to take a class from them, do it. They are a hoot! They came to Michigan from Pennsylvania
Because they teach as a pair, there were 26 in our class. The blocks are 3", made up of 40 pieces! The smallest piece we cut was 1"x1". Cut large, sew, then trim down, using his specialty ruler/trimmer that was included in the class kit.
My center green piece has issues, but I'm pleased with the black flying geese. This is 1 block and the pattern calls for 16 to make a miniature wall hanging.

Here's their website. The pictures do not do justice to his quilts! They are SMALL!

Ditto what Maine ladybug said. I even opted for the larger 4" size and it was Craaazy. I do know a girl who actually finished hers (one out of 25 or so!) and it is magnificent. Sooooo....I guess there is hope. Someday I vow to finish that bugger!
And I agree with you about their humor. They are truly a great couple. And she is an expert hand quilter who does her own teaching. Definitely take advantage of their classes if you get the chance.
