Allow me to feel a little - - - smug - though I do LOVE Christmas quilts. Our family decided to draw names for Christmas for the adults. No more frenzy and buying gifts just to check off a name. We even post suggestions via Email. And we set a $$$limit. Now everyone receives something they really want, and no one breaks the bank. We still give the kids gifts, though. I, as loudest Grandma on the block [so to speak] , made sure of that.

I'm the only quilter, so instead of making quilts for Christmas, I make them for other occasions - don't give myself a Dec 24th or 25th deadline. Don't know if that's good or bad. If I had a deadline, I'd probably finish faster! Worked for the B.\/W exchange  Some day, I'll make a Christmas quilt for each family - but I'll have to hide them until everyone's is finished, or there will be :hunf:

We don't exchange gifts in our family. Not even hubby and I. We have a family dinner and enjoy one anothers company. The Christmas table runner is for a friend in a swap. I don't make many Xmas gifts, but I make things to decorate our home. I love Christmas fabrics!

That does put me in an xmas mood!
I have several quilted xmas projects that I am determined to make this year - a few tree skirts... a pieced wall hanging.. etc... School starts in 27 days.... then I'll get to sew again for a long periods at a time. Today I tried to sew - and was interrupted every 30 minutes to help with the kids' video games.... 27 days
