Gee Whiz Eddie ... You really have a wonderfully organized space to work in now. I am the same way. I can't stand a disorganized room to sew in.

I think you should. Mine is stacked some what the same as yours. I have been making my own boards and I can see the difference already. I can actually tell what the print is on the fabric with out having to pull everything out just to look at a certain fabric. Plus its much nicer to look at.

You have to be a new quilter. You haven't had time to develop any bad habits. Great room.

In a manner of sorts....I'm a software architect, so I spend my day time hours designing computer systems to work in a logical, ordered manner. That probably explains a lot about my neatness thing, LOL. :D

    Hi Karen

I went to wal-mart to the fabric dept. and asked for their empty bolt holders then cut them down to fit my shelves. You could probably go to your lqs and get these, they are just gonna get thrown away. I also went to dollar tree and bought styrofoam boards, I cut them to fit my shelves. I got 6 out of each board. I got the dollar tree idea from another thread. So far I am very happy with the way it is starting to look, I can see everything. Still in the process of getting it done, been working on it for 3 days now. I have a little one so I have to take breaks very often. Have fun doing yours.
I posted pic's of my mess on this thread before I started this project. It's either page 2 or 3, can't remember.

Smaller yardages are in plastic bins, along with jelly rolls and layer cakes.

Towards the back of the room you can see my sewing machine on the tables in the foreground, and my embroidery machine on the table in against the back wall. It feels good to be organized!

So, show us pics of your room, too. I always like seeing how others organize their workspace.
    Hi Eddie,

Thank You for the motivation to get my little area organized and cleaned. :D :D
Once I get it done maybe I will get the quilting bug back.
    Thanks again.

Well Carrie, I went back to have another look at your "mess." I think you and I could tie for the booby prize. I describe mine as having a path to the sewing machine. Mine is a disgrace right now. My only solution is to purge and I'm not willing to do anymore of that at this moment. I've "shared" all I'm gonna share for now.
