    like these , I use my orphan blocks to make table protectors , they work out great and every one think they are neat. thanks for sharing .

    I didn't see the crooked lines until you mentioned it but I think they add to the charm of your mats. I have a quilt that a friend of my mom gave me to cover a picnic table that is very similar to yours. I love using it. No batting, just backing.
