Gift for a Child with an Odd Ball Name
#22
There's nothing like having a neighbor who loves ya to make you realize you are special. What a treat for Karsyn!
Someone told me a loooooooong time ago that a name is something that is given to you for everyone else to use. So, when I run across odd names (a childhood friend was Karl Marks!), I remind myself that the person was given that name and not to hold it against him/her.

It's adorable! And it gives me an idea for something I can do for my poor Daughter whom I also gave an "oddball ;)" name to. Her name is Jeyden...can't find that anywhere, let alone in pink!

This is so pretty, she will love hanging it on her wall.
I can understand her dilemma as my name is spelled Dawne not Dawn. Most people glance at the name and call me Dewayne!! Go figure!

I come from several generations of unusual first names, and we never had anything personalized unless we made it ourselves. Very sweet of you to do that! Great Grandma: Eufrazier Lee Grandma: Gladyne
Mom: Manota and me: Lynota (Lynnie for short)

Great idea and so pretty for a young girls room, I had never heard of his spelling, so individual, I know all about unusual spellings, and not finding personalized items in shops etc! Back in the 80's when my daughter was little she really felt left out when her name was not on any of the pens note books etc, her name is Louann Betsy-Rose and we knew no other girls called this, everyone said how 'American' (she was born and grew up in Australia).
