You have a very caring 17 year old to have made this for you. She did a great job.

Makes you feel good to know she took time to make you something. Looks as if it is made with love. Kudos...

What a totally great present!!! I think I'd do a patchy border around it...similar to her dress and make a nice wall hanging. Great:)

Why not use it in the very center of a quilt, and make crazy blocks to go around it. Then it would definitely fit the pattern.
Aren't kids just great, they can sometime drive you nuts with worry about them and then turn around and do something great like this. Last year my son surprised me with a beautiful picture, all done in metal, lasered on the pic. part, the picture was of Christ's birth in the Manger scene. Well the little stink he's 35 by the way, pulled something similar this year, only it is a larger pic, done in metal also, but a picture of the Last Supper.
Both frames match and are decorative metal also. My daughter keeps me in beautiful amethyst jewelry and crosses. Last year she gave me three oil lamps to go with my collection. One never knows what our kids will do for us next. Just their beautiful way of showing their love.

That is very sweet of her. Such a thoughtful gift - and I love the idea of the quilted border!
