    Default Gifted Back pack

I made this for my niece to keep her things in and gave it to her on thanksgiving day. She was so surprised and happy her "auntie sandy" took all that time for her.

Not a good picture of it, but, here it is. Corduroy animal print is from hancock fabrics and quilted by me to reinforce it for a nine year olds wear and tear.

It looks really cute. Your niece is cute too.

    What pattern did you use?

I used simplicity #0641 linda, with a little change up to it. It is an older one I used some time ago to make zippered cosmetic bags. I did add pockets on the inside and outside instead of the normal accent ribbons.
I have to say that when it is worn on the back, the whole bag is straight and the pocket is functional.

I guess this one is out of print, because I couldn't find the pattern on line to purchase. The copy write is from 1998 on the pattern. LOL... I guess it was a long while ago that I bought the pattern.
