That's SO adorable! I love aprons...but I always seem to forget to put them on when I'm in the kitchen. Great job!

Oh I love aprons too. Reminds me of being a grandma, why I don't know, I never knew my grandma, but I cook better in one, and I love to give them to children, usually called an activity apron for them. Yours is so cute, anyone would have to love it.

That is adorable :!: It would make a fabulous gift. If I owned one for myself DH would expect me to cook...have to think about that...cooking or quilting? Well no contest there!

Pam-your apron is adorable. As a Grammy, too I think I am going to have to make a trek to JoAnn's and make some for my little girls. We always have a baking day and make LOTS of Christmas cookies. The girls are covered in flour and have eaten a ton of dough by the end of the day, but we have a blast.

Just a few days ago I read somewhere about the history of our grandma's aprons! It was really interesting, but naturally I can't find it now that I want to share it!

It talked about that she used it to protect her simple housedress, because she probably only had one or two. She used the corner of the apron to flag the men in the field that it was time for lunch, or to wipe away a tear from a grandchild's face who had fallen and skinned a knee. It suggested that she used it to shoo away the flies from her freshly baked bread or pies. And, lots of other things that you'd never think about!

If I can remember where I read it, I'll post!

Thanks for the memories! And, I love gingerbread men!
