    Oh, I did designs on aprons years ago but never knew it was called chicken scratch. I still love it and your work is gorgeous. The pillow is superb and tempts me to replicate it for my bed in blue. Thanks for sharing. Will search for some cotton only gingham.

    I made one in red and white with chicken scratch for my first GD and she's now 27 and still has that quilt. Actually chicken scratch isn't hard to do. I found it relaxing. Like the other lady said, it does take time.

    I made a pillow like yours for my Mother-in-law, at least 30 yrs ago. Boy that was a long time ago. It is still sitting on her couch. She will soon be 101.
