    Default Giraffe Quilt for Cousin

I was ordering fabric online when I learned about my cousin's critical snowboarding accident. I ordered the giraffe fabric because he likes them and I love my family. He has been moved from ICU to a rehabilitation hospital. His brother started a successful fund page to get him home to Texas, but he can't be moved yet. I hope this quilt provides comfort during his recovery.

I wasn't sure what to do with the fabric, so I just sandwiched it with the back and drew the lines to stitch with a water soluble marker. Never tried that before, but it worked! For the binding, I have always just fold top edge twice to the back and use an automated stitch around the perimeter.

Hope he has a speedy recovery and so very nice for you to make him a quilt. It is very pretty and I like the way you did the binding with the decorative stitch; very nice touch. Love the giraffe fabric.

the quilt looks great. i'm sure he will love it and the love it was made with.
i had a tall boss who snowboarded himself into a very badly broken leg. they put one of those halo's on his leg and drove his sports car to work every day by using his left foot. i wish i had watched him getting into and out of that car.
    Good thoughts for your cousin.
