Being a former Girl Scout Leader and Girl Scout myself, I think it is GREAT! Love the quilting pattern that you did with the embroidery machine.

What a GREAT idea! Where did you get the fabric? My granddaughter is in Girl Scouts and, I'm sure, she wouldn't mind a quilt like yours!!

    Thanks for sharing!

Here are 2 places that have it www.fatquartershop.com and
www.favoritefabric.com. I think I got some of mine from fabric.com but they are hit or miss. I got most of mine at my LQS; one of the few times I paid full price for anything. The line is by Robert Kaufman and there are many choices.

What a gorgeous memory quilt for that little scout. Someday, she will smile every time she looks at it and remembers something else from the time she was a girl scout. Great job

Very nice!! I am a volunteer for my nieces troop. I am a special Aunt Nancy to all of them. We have 10 in our troop! Love being a part of the Girl Scouts now and I was for 12 years growing up.

When i read your title, I expected to see a brown and green quilt. What a surprise. I guess I just dated me didn't I ? Beautiful colors.

I was surprised too when I saw all the prints, some very contemporary and some very retro. My DGD is 12 1/2 and very into the girl scout thing. She loves going camping and doing the fund raising, etc. Originally, I promised her a Hawaiian quilt pillow. But when I tried it I found my arthritic hands wouldn't let me do that needle turning. So I told her I didn't think she would be getting that, to think of something else. And she excitedly said (shouted), "Girl Scout Quilt Girl Scout Quilt!" So I think she will be pleasantly surprised.
