Our home school co-op thought our girls should learn some quilting. Five girls worked on each quilt. It was a blast and I learned a lot too. Things that you definitely need to tell beginners. #1 make sure your fabrics are lined up so they are BOTH getting sewed. Now working to get them all quilted and bound by the 15 of March. 2 down, 2 to go

LOL. And working with directional fabric is too much for a newbie. Oh my goodness, that was my daughters first quilt, fabric going every which direction, it was funny.
They did a wonderful job. Best part is that they had fun.

They did a fantastic job!!! Congrats to ALL of them!!! And they are learning things that public schools have discontinued. A friend of mine is what once was a Home Ec teacher. The only way now she can teach any of the kids to even sew on a button is at her house, on her own time.
The school has gone to Culinary Arts, and yet, most of them don't know any more than how to nuke a frozen pizza.

They did an awesome job on the quilts. They should be very proud of themselves. My favorite is the tub quilt, I love the colors.

They did a great job. What a unique way for them to learn new skills both in sewing and cooperation!

Looking good, I am sure the girls will enjoy them for years and just think of all they learned which will come in handy in the future.

So who gets the quilts when they are done? With five on each quilt, how do they decide?

    Good job, BTW.
