    Default Glitter Trees

I made a basic arrangement of applique green trees in muted colors. I machine stitched the applique. A layer of very sparkly green tulle was pinned over the quilt. I added FMQ to the trees and the tulle gave more texture and dimension. The sky has my version of snow. The best part was the whole quilt was now very shimmering and sparkly. There was a problem with a missing piece of tulle in a corner. Since I was already in sparkly land, I decided to add gold lame in the corner, I know, gold lame! I did some fancy stitching in gold metallic thread and even added some sunbeams. Of course, what my gold lame sun with sunbeams needed was crystals, naturally. It did not turn out as horrible as it sounds. Take a look. Pictures fail to capture just how glittery the whole thing is. It sparkles.

Your stitching added so much to the beauty of your quilt.

Very creative use of alternative fabrics - looks like you had fun creating this one, it is lovely.

It's beautiful. Love your quilting and putting the sun there was pretty clever.
