I also have a big bin of washed, deconstructed ties waiting on time to put something together. "Daddy's Ties, a book by Shirley Botsford has a lot of ideas for using ties for projects. I bought it on Amazon several years ago. I found the book to be very helpful in prepping the ties for use.

Are your ties all silk or polyester? I would like to make a quilt using ties, but did not think the silk ties would wash well.

A tutorial would be wonderful. You are so generous to share.

Also, how did you wash the ties?
