Eddie, if your quilt got a second for applique, I can only imagine what the first place one looks like. Your work is beautiful and you are a winner in my eyes. Congratulations on these two quilts as well as the raw-edge applique samples at the other post. Thanks.

Please provide the name, etc of the applique pattern. Thanks.

Thanks, everyone. :) The first place entry was magnificent. It was flowers with hummingbirds and was beautifully appliqued. It was also hand-quilted. Stunning in every respect! Below is a photo of it.

Yes First would have been hard to beat. But your second would have won first in our Quilt show last week! Your work is beautiful!

The show should have had two categories: one for hand-applique and hand quilted and one for machine applique and machine quilted. Then there would have been two firsts and Eddie would have won a first also. Regardless, I like Eddie's better.
