Congrats:)!! Both are excellent. I liked that you showed off your quilting, too, on the 1st quilt. Love your echo quilting. So nice. That 2nd quilt is SO precise. I like both of them. Applique speaks to my heart and the work is outstanding, but, boy oh boy, that NYB is a beauty, too:) Thanks for sharing.

Well I'd say those ribbons were well deserved. Beautiful work as always. Congratulations!

These are beautiful. Had to show them to my DH and he said "WOW".

Eddie, these are both winners for sure! Love the way you did the background on the applique quilt.

Eddie, page 13, the closeups of your flowers. I know you said fused and then machine appliqued, however, I do not see any stitches on the flowers. Did you use monofilement thread? Your work is spectacular not only with the sewing machines, but with the paint brush as well.

    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words. :) I used regular cotton thread, I don't really like working with monofiliment thread it just seems "unnatural" to me for quilts that I make. If you look at those small dresden plates, you can see the black thread on the tips of the blades since I used black for stitching down around the entire edges of them. But I usually use a color thread that matches the piece being stitched down so that the stitching is not noticeable.
