Nice sewing room!! We live 1100 miles away from family and I had two spare bedrooms. I started quilting and made one of them my sewing room. I can't have too much company at once or someone has to sleep on the air mattress and it's not me,lol!!!

When my daughter got married and moved out I quickly claimed her room. DH had a cow because he wanted it left for her in case she ever wanted to come back home. Needless to say, it is now my sewing room. We do have as couch if she needs a place to sleep. lol He just did not want to lose her.

Had the extra room for sewing right off my kitchen, and a guest bedroom in the finished basement, with a bathroom. Hubby decided that the first room should be a guest room so his mom didnt have to go down the steps. So, while I was out of town, he gave away the really nice long desk and dresser that stored so much and was a nice work top, and moved in bedroom furniture. As you can imagine, sparks flew!! But, on this he wouldn"t budge. His mom was killed two months later, but since both rooms now have nice furniture, it must stay that way. So, the closet holds my sewing things, but my machine sits in the corner of my bedroom.

Yep - good way to get over empty nest syndrome!

Don't have an empty nest yet - but I did take over the play room when I realized the kids were not using it any more! Now it's my play room! (No internet connection down there, now, years later, we have wireless but that room is MINE!)

Clem, so you have two empty rooms and you have to sew in the corner of your bedroom? Sparks would be flying again if I were you! ;)

[After years of having everything stuffed in boxes and living space cluttered and unusable when I quilted I finally have a workable sewing room. And, with a pullout couch it can also serve as an emergency guest room.]

WooHoo! Can't wait for that to happen over here.
And forget the emergency bedding, put in another sewing machine!
