    I'm really new at quilting and I'm curious about the flower quilt. It appears some sort of covering was centered over the flowers and may I ask how you did that?

    I first painted a piece of muslin (doesn't matter what you use) the flowers and back ground. When you are happy with it, you slice it to the size you like before adding a boarder. Note: you want to slice into the flowers. After adding a boarder, find fabric from your stash that works well with the incompleted petals. I think I added some misty fuse under the additonal fabric petals. Free form cut the flower petals that hang over the edge and iron or sew down. It gives it a added texture.
