What size do you need the block?

You could add a left side triangle plus a right side triangle. Then add a small
sashing strip in the same color next to the right-side triangle. Something like this perhaps. Hope that helps.

I would make the pieces in a fabric color to look like background sky.

I would add more background to the house, for example, extra sashing on top. otherwise, the little triangle in the top left corner will look odd. but if you use the same color for the triangle pieces and bring it around the top and down the side, I will look better. Like Rhonda shows above, but with another line on the top side, too.
    Nice job on the blocks!

Nice blocks but can't give too much advice. I like the idea Rhonda gave you. Is there a specific size these blocks have to be?

You could add a small tree on the right or left and then the sky. Looking good. Our quilt guild is planning to have our quilt show in 2020 also. Hard work for a lot of us. I am to make pin cushions.

your block should be straight so you can start by making sure your cutting is accurate and also how about seam allowance, they should be accurate and may help you to mark your machine for accurate 1/4 inch seam and you could do this by measuring and either drawing a line or use a stack of sticky notes to help guide your fabric. just a suggestion good luck
