    but not enough pics.

I've been promising people pics for ages on my anniversary sampler. I made the binding today, and applied it to the front. Stitching it to the back and that sucker will be done!! Problem is, the back is a deep hunter green flannel and it's hard to take pics where you can actually see the quilting. I might have to take pics of the front before I wash the chalk off. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-36285-1.htm

One of my son's has 2 main teachers for everything and both of them were expecting this year. The first one had her baby, a girl, in October. The other had a boy last week. My son doesn't normally pay any attention to my hobbies or personal experiences of other people. He's been asking me to make his teachers baby quilts and I just couldn't say no.

I met another quilter and we racked out the top in 1 full day. I sat today and made the binding and bound the anniversary quilt. Quilted this D9P for the mom of the girl, and cut all the strips for the D9P for the boy. I must say that I made D9P's for my boys with 6.5" strips and they looked horrible. The little 4" strips make these the darling little baby quilts.

I was originally going to tie tack them as I always do for baby quilts. I've been looking for times to practice my FMQ, so I quilted the entire quilt. I used my walking foot and quilted grid lines around the blocks first. Then went back in with my darning foot and went to town. This is my very first FMQ quilt.

    What do you all think???

I discovered I'm not very good at hearts. I can't make baby bottles at all and I didn't bother taking a pic of those. This was the best AND HARDEST heart:

    Stars are easy peesy!!

It was 8 long years of being a beginner before I even attempted. It was soooo much fun! I made a ton of mistakes and there's a pleat or two in it, real tiny. It really was a lot of fun. Glad it was on a small project! No way I could FMQ a bed size on my little machine!
