How wonderful. I can't wait until my DGD is old enough to come stay over so I can teach her to sew. She's almost 5 but she suffers with separation anxiety, when away from her mum. because her dad works overseas and is away a lot.

Well done, and for a first quilt and sewing project just beautiful! You've give her a skill to last a lifetime. Hopefully with a passion as well! Gift idea - a quilt journal to begin her recording now. Thank you Quilting Haven for seeding the next generation.

That's a very pretty quilt and what a wonderful way for her to remember her time with you. Thank you so much for sharing - I can't wait until I have grandchildren with whom to share this great hobby.

What a wonderful thing to do!!! I wish my grandmothers were into quilts or hobbies...We use to visit and go outside and play. I can't wait to show my granddaughter how to quilt. Your granddaughter did a wonderful job!

Talk about making memories!!! My sisters have done the same thing with their granddaughters, and it has been a wonderful time of bonding. I have 2 grandsons, presently 21 months, and 3 weeks, so am not holding my breath about them being interested in sewing. But you never know!!!!!
