Generally no..I don't start in the middle. Usually I work from the top down. When I have thread changes I will go through with my main color and then unpin my backing fabric and work my way back up with another color of thread.

I would start in the middle for whole cloth quilting...or really wavy quilts....and also double wedding rings.

This was a huge quilt and it took me two days to quilt...(that's why there was no picture yesterday)

I didn't really have to read this quilt per se....I did alot of fill in work to make all the designs pop out.
I stippled throughout the center so that the designs would pop out..and I pebbled in the black fabric with vines so the vines would raise out. I quilted a wavy crosshatch in the four-patches and a simple outlined in the green. IN the border I simply just used the two types of leaves that were in the border fabric and mimiced them in a design to cover it...I think it looks great! It is a beautiful quilt and it is a mammoth ..I can't get a full picture on my King Size bed as it hangs over.Beautiful peicing..no issues...Great gal to work with!

I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA. No computer or pantograph quilting.

    Thank you for looking!
The biggest width I can quilt is about 130 inches...length can be anything. Thanks for asking!
