    Default Grandmother's Fan Birthday Quilt

My late paternal grandmother hand and machine-pieced this Grandmother's Fan quilt top. I can easily envision the work that went into this beauty. My parents offered to have it quilted for me as a birthday present, and it's probably one of the best presents I have ever received. I wanted to quilt it myself, but I didn't think I would ever be confident enough to do it, especially not something to so precious.

The quilting is done with Baptist Fan, and I was a little unsure of it when the quilter suggested it, but I could not be happier!

Lucky you! It's a beautiful quilt and it seems the Baptist Fan is the perfect quilting design for it! Treasure it!

Thats a really nice memory... I love the eyelet trm, gives it a nice lacy lookwithout the fragile lace.
