    Thank you all for your kind words. I'm happy with the end result. I can't even recall how many times I changed my plans & direction & some of the fabrics on this quilt, so it seemed to take 'forever' to make. With each quilt I make, I seem to reach a point where I'm nearly overwhelmed and think I'll never get done, but I do, of course, and after each quilt is finished and gifted, I've mostly forgotten all the hassle (somewhat like labor & childbirth) and am ready to start another project.

    I only have enough lace left for 2-1/2 more fans. I had hoped to get another 4 and make another row, but it was not to be. That's o.k., though; I like the size it is ... plus, while I was quilting it, I was really glad that it was no larger than it is.
