    Default Grandmother's flower garden, done!

In february 2012, I posted a thread asking for ideas on how to quilt my GFG and in my last post I said "Say tuned for the result in a year or two". Well, here it is. The hexagons are pieced and quilted by hand. I used a spice container cap to draw a line from one corner to the other using my Clover hera marker. The borders are hand appliqué. They are machine pieced and free hand motion quilted. I quilted around the appliqué and in the corners where there is no appliqué I quilted an echo of it.
