Up North

This weekend I got to work a little with my 5 year old grandson at sewing, His sister Maddy is one that I have been teaching to quilt and Tyler has asked to sew too. He hates his picture taken so always makes a funny face but was proud of his Pillow. He says it is for his little brother Peyton. The end is wonky because he tends to either go to slow or to fast but it is his own accomplishment!

I also teach my two grand-daughters to quilt, ages 6 & 8. The six year old is just starting, she's made 9 court house step blocks so far. The next time we get together she'll be learning how to sew them all together. My 8 year old grandchild has made about 5 or 6 quilts so far and she's only been sewing for a year. She's given them all away except for one that she's keeping for herself.

I love teaching my grandkids, I'm sure you enjoy it, too!
