This weekend I got to work a little with my 5 year old grandson at sewing, His sister Maddy is one that I have been teaching to quilt and Tyler has asked to sew too. He hates his picture taken so always makes a funny face but was proud of his Pillow. He says it is for his little brother Peyton. The end is wonky because he tends to either go to slow or to fast but it is his own accomplishment!

He's so proud! It's great that you spend time doing that with him, so many just don't have the patience or desire to. They grow up so fast...

I love it when they are young and want to do everything you do. My kids used to sew and cross stitch just because I did. Not for long, mind you, but I still have all the partials they made, lol. I also have their completed projects scattered over the house - potholders that I don't use to keep clean are on the kitchen wall, art projects hanging in the den and my sewing room, butterfly magnets and things collected here and there. I love it. My Christmas tree is pretty much decorated entirely what they made until they didn't make things anymore. Daughter is now 21 and son is 16 so there are quite a few ornaments, but I won't change a thing...
