Granny's Square quilt

this is not how this quilt was suppose to be, the pattern has many more scrappy blocks in the center. But because I had several charm packs plus some yardage and I did not want to waist any of this pretty fabrics, I decided to make this pattern my way. I am not sure about it, the border is little bit too much for me, my DH loves it. It is 78 x 78 inch square. The fabric is 'Strawberry fields revisited.

I really like this. I think continuing the background fabric in the border looks awesome. I'm with your hubbie! Quilt it, bind it....be happy you accomplished this beauty with your own twist...
