Hobbs Polydown. It is a polyester batting and a very nice one, no bearding and keeps it's shape and loft beautifully. Quilts up like wool only without the hefty price tag of wool. Charismah turned me on to it.

I buy it by the roll but right now you can get it prepackaged at Connecting Threads for 30% off and free shipping with any order over $50. Easy to do, a few packages of batting will get you there.

Thank you everyone for all the nice comments.

But it consists of curn dash blocks alternated with 54-40 or Fight star block variation. The result is a great interlocking circular illusion in the white fabric much like is achieved in so many other quilts that use the 54-40 or Fight star (like Tennesse Waltz, Bonnie Hunters Celtic Solstice and Emma's wedding quilt). GrannyW5 said she liked feathers which is great because I like doing feathers! I did feathers in the "circle" parts rotating the direction of the feathers to emphasize the circles. I used a stencil in the churn dash blocks called Hearts and flowers (what is a wedding without hearts and flowers? ) then I did curved cross hatch in the black squares and a rams horn swirl in the triangles coming off the square.

Glide thread in white was used and Hobbs polydown batting.

And the back which looks so pretty. Unfortunately most of my shots came out blurry, this was the least blurry

It looks similar to the one I made for my Granddaughter and that pattern was Tennessee Waltz by Eleanor Burns. It was so fun to make. Would love to put a picture of it on here but don't know how (I need my granddaughter to do it!!) Your feather quilting is gorgeous Feline. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work.
