That looks great. Grey is such a different colour to work with.

First of all, a heartfelt thank you to all you lovelies with your encouraging comments! Every single one made me happy :).

When I started this quilt, I didn't have grey fabric in my stash either. So I had to go shopping. Life can be hard, don't you think? ;-). Good luck I found several grey fabrics, two solids (Kona Cotton ash and charcoal) and at least 7 or 8 prints I liked. Sashing is made from Kona in snow white, my fav. I seem to use it ALL THE TIME, esp. when making scrappy quilts.
As I am a very poor beginner quilter, I was happy they wanted very little quilting, and the loops were very easy to quilt and pleasing at the same time.

Again, thank you and happy quilting,
    AnneT

My reaction too--I love the way the quilting sets off the simple one-patch blocks so nicely! The flange is the perfect accent on the binding. I'm putting a copy of this one in my "must do this" file.

I was just going to ask if anyone had ever made a quilt using gray. And then I saw your site. Thanks. I love this idea and thought it would take no time at all to complete. Nice job. Happy Quilting.

Thank you for your kind words!
A quilt in no time, yes, but not for me . When I start a new quilt, it takes FOREVER to choose the fabric and a layout. Even worse, I seem to need a ton of pins to achieve matching seams. Talk about enjoying the whole process . But you are right, this quilt can be made in no time, if someone else makes it ;-).

Great Quilt. Finding grey must have been a challenge.
