    Default Grim Ripper

I've had this pattern for quite a while. A friend found the tan version Quilt Pirate fabric and sent me some. She also sent me the black fabric with the tiny pumpkins. Well, as soon as I saw those little skulls with the scissors, I knew exactly what I had to do. I found the lavender and the grey versions then I made one block for myself, one for the friend that bought the two fabrics and a small wall quilt for a sewing friend.

On my quilt label I have said "may your visits with the Grim Ripper be infrequent, short and painless."
The background fabric is Fairy Frost glow-in-the dark and I used glow-in-the-dark thread for my quilting. He was a lot of fun to make and brings a smile to my face every time I pass him in the hall. My sewing friend doesn't come to town until the end of September so I get to enjoy this quilt for a little bit longer.

Cute! Isn't it funny how we have that love-hate relationship with the seam ripper?
