Thanks for the video. That's how I join my rows also. I really wanted to thank you for your demonstration on pressing the seam open. Your way is so much easier and faster than how I've been pressing. Again, thanks.

Thank you! But my DH says LOOK OUT FOR YOUR FINGERS! In my defence, I was trying to keep my hand and arm out of the way of the camera! But you saw the burn mark on my thumb - so perhaps I'm not the best person to demonstrate pressing! Heck though, my hands may be scarred but all my seams lie flat so it's a question of priorities I suppose!

I had about a yard left and ended up cutting the short sideways repeats in order to get my square pieces. For the squares I didn't need 8 repeats, just 4. So now I have a few scraps I can use to add some color to the borders and I have a selvedge edge piece that is 8" wide and about 45" long. It doesnt' quite show the entire original repeat, but its pretty close and the general idea is there :). I think I will clean up my scrappy mess and start sewing tonight!

I need to work on a block swap I am doing. Not behind but need to get back on track. I also need to sew the kaleidoscope blocks together for my nieces quilt top :). It's main color palette is purple and yellow.

I'm deep in applique land now! Having great fun playing with my scrappity scraps! The inner border is a very dark purple BTW, doesn't show up well on the pic.

That is so beautiful, I can't stop looking at it. I am working on my first one. I am new to quilting but I was so amazed by the OBW I had to try. I am learning as I go. Thanks, can't wait to see the next one.
