Well, I finally finished the OBW top I was working on using the Oriental Fabric. Thought I'd post two pics here. I'll post better pics after it is quilted and bound. I think Julie made one using this fabric also.

I love how you put the row of blocks across the bottom isolated in the black. Great idea!

Quilty. your quilt is lovely. The row of isolated blocks is different. Love how it all turned out.

That turned out absolutely lovely! I haven't finshed my quilt. I have done the hexes but I still need to border it and quilt it. I didnt think to get extra fabric so i have about a 1/2 yard that I will probably put on one back corner or something like that.

Yours really is awesome and I love the cubes and all the different details

I've just got the wadding (batting) for mine and am ready to quilt, once I've got a couple of other projects out of the way. Meanwhile, it's great to keep this thread alive with the occasional pic of another OBW - Julie and quiltykitty, those are both beautiful. :-D

I finally got time to sew my rows together. So I am posting my progress picture.

I also have a question...do you cut the excess off now...those little ears so it reduces the bulk a little or doesn't it make enough difference?

I need to shop for some border fabric. I don't have enough left over to use as a border as I hoped to do.
