I also have a question...do you cut the excess off now...those little ears so it reduces the bulk a little or doesn't it make enough difference?

I need to shop for some border fabric. I don't have enough left over to use as a border as I hoped to do.
That turned out really pretty so far!!!!

Elaine that is fabulous! Re the dog ears, I don't bother cutting mine off. Except the ones that get sliced when I'm trimming the pointy bits top and bottom to square up.

I wish I wasn't such a chicken with this. I would love to do one. Just can't seem to get this.....which is frustrating as I am sure once I do it, it will seem so easy. Woner why I have the mental block? (no pun intended)

i have seen your work and i am sure if you had the book you could do this..
after i purchased the book it all seemed to go together with the help of the board for questions.. I just didn't like my first fabric choice so I didn't continue on with that one.. this one I am more excited about.. once you get that fabric cut and lined up its a breeze..
COME ON.. YOU CAN DO IT.. i haven't cut this fabric yet.. maybe later today i will ... lol

Do you have the book Deb? It really isnt difficult with the book, the illustrations and instructions are just so clear. You will be surprised how easy you find it to do one.
