Just found this thread. WOW what beautiful fabric. Does anyone know where I might find it? Also, how much fabric do you need to make a full size quilt?
    Thanks

Gai Gai used to be a member on this Board. The fabric is called CP 28995 Floral Master, and it is made by Springs Creative Products Group LLC.

I just found it on the Joann site but it says no longer available! So sorry. Maybe you can find it on eBay.

Many fabrics are suitable, but you need to get the book by Maxine Rosenthal, "One Block Wonders Encore". There is no way to figure this out without the book.

    Good luck!

    Thanks Nicky,
I already have the book. I just figured out that Gai Gai was a member. LOL
I was just hoping that someone still had some of this fabric.
    Thanks for your quick reply!

I normally quilt the obws from the back too as it is far easier to see where you've been and are going - so once the cubes are SID, I can see them clearly and that way can avoid going over them.

Your quilt is beautiful Kitty, love your design, and the cubes are wonderful!

Katrine, do you SITD the hexagons, or each triangle in each hexagon?

Thanks! I am working on my first one.

Here is my progress so far. I love making the cubes, but am not sure my fabric choices are right. I may have to buy some better coordinated fabrics... Let me know what you think. Placement of hexagons is so difficult!

I just bought fabric to make one of these quilts. I an gion to use a 60` ruler to cut the pieces. My question is, what size strips did you cut for these hexagons? I am thinking about cutting my strips 4 1/2". Is that too wide to cut the strips? I am actaully going to make my hexagons into separate blocks with sashing around them so I am thinking I want bigger hexagons--but I don't want them too big. What do you suggest?
